Sometimes your old cabinets are better than you think. Every job is scoped in writing after a free walkthrough, so you only replace what truly needs replacing.
New handles and hinges, adjusted doors, and chips and worn edges repaired without a full refinish.
Doors off, cleaned, sanded, primed and spray-finished with a hard-wearing cabinet coating.
Built-ins, vanities, doors and wood furniture stripped, stained and sealed to bring the grain back.
Not sure whether to paint or stain? Book a free walkthrough and we will sample both on your cabinets.
Most kitchens keep their cabinet boxes and layout. The change comes from preparation and finish, and that is where we spend the time.
Your written estimate lists every line of work, so you can compare it with any other quote.
A cabinet finish fails at the prep, not the paint. These are the steps we never skip.
Kitchen grease is removed so primer bonds to the wood, not the film on top.
A primer matched to the surface, including slick laminate and oily hardwoods.
Doors are sprayed for a smooth, factory-style finish with no brush marks.
Doors go back only once the coating has cured enough for daily use.
Every door and hinge is labeled so everything goes back exactly where it came from.
Color and sheen are sampled on your cabinets before the full job starts.
The same four steps on a single vanity and a full kitchen.

SOMO also supports property owners and contractors across the Bay Area. Here is what they say about working with our team.
“Having someone who could attend the walkthrough and translate field conditions into decisions changed the pace of the project.”
“SOMO gave our remote team the local clarity we needed before approving budget. The reporting was direct, visual, and easy to act on.”
“Their proposal support helped us tighten scope and avoid several unclear exclusions before submission.”
Most homeowners have had one of these go wrong before. Here is what changes when SOMO does the job.
Ask to see a sample itemized estimate at your walkthrough.
The people who look at your cabinets and write your estimate are the same crew that preps and finishes them. No rotating subcontractors, no call centre — one project lead you can reach every day of the job.
Most kitchens take three to five days on site. Hardware and touch-up refreshes usually take a day or two. You get a written schedule before any work begins.
Every project is different, so we never quote over the phone. After a free walkthrough you get an itemized written estimate showing each line of work, materials and any permits, so you can see exactly what drives the cost.
Mostly, yes. The cabinet boxes stay in place, so we mask and work in sections. We tell you upfront which days are the most disruptive.
Chipping almost always comes from skipped prep. We degrease, sand, prime with a bonding primer and use a cabinet-grade coating that is left to cure properly.
Laminate can usually be refinished with the right primer. Peeling thermofoil normally cannot, and we will tell you honestly if new doors make more sense.
If you like the grain and the wood is in good shape, stain keeps it. If you want a color change or the wood is patchy, paint gives a cleaner result. We sample both on your cabinets.
Yes. SOMO carries current licensing and general liability insurance, and we are happy to show you the documentation before you sign anything.
You get a written workmanship warranty and one project lead who stays reachable after sign-off. Call us and we come back.
