Before SOMO Home Renovation, our team walked job sites and wrote estimates for Bay Area contractors and property owners through SOMO Business Solutions.

We kept seeing the same problems: vague lump-sum quotes, schedules nobody kept and homeowners who could not get a straight answer. So we built a renovation company around fixing them.

Yes. SOMO carries current licensing and general liability insurance, and we are happy to show you the documentation before you sign anything.

Do you use subcontractors?

Your project is handled by a consistent crew of licensed local tradespeople who work with us regularly. Your project lead manages every trade on site, so you are never passed between companies.

Who will I talk to during the project?

One project lead, from the first walkthrough to the final sign-off. You get their direct number and a written schedule before work starts.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. Handyman visits cover small repairs and to-do lists, and larger projects get a full itemized estimate after a walkthrough.

Which Bay Area cities do you cover?

We work throughout San Jose and the wider Bay Area, including Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Fremont, Oakland and San Francisco. If you are just outside these areas, ask and we will tell you straight away.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Every project comes with a written workmanship warranty, and your project lead stays reachable after sign-off.

Is the walkthrough and estimate free?

Yes. The on-site walkthrough and itemized written estimate are free, with no obligation to go ahead.

Do I need to move out during the work?

Usually not. For single-room work we contain dust, protect walkways and keep the rest of your home usable. For larger projects we tell you upfront if a few days away makes sense.
